Here, a true fan is selling off his collection of Mot\u00f6rhead memorabilia, which he has amassed over many years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mot\u00f6rhead was founded in London in 1975 by Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister after he had been fired from his band Hawkwind shortly before due to an arrest for drug possession.
Between 1979 and 1982, the band enjoyed its most commercially successful period. The albums from that era, such as *Overkill*<\/a><\/i>, Bomber<\/a><\/i> (both 1979) and Ace of Spades<\/a><\/i> (1980) are considered seminal works in heavy metal and classics of the genre.<\/p>\n

On December 28, 2015, Lemmy Kilmister died of cancer, four days after his 70th birthday.
In an interview with a Swedish newspaper, drummer Mikkey Dee said that the band no longer exists following the singer’s death. He categorically ruled out future tours and new albums, thereby officially marking the end of the band.<\/p>\n
