The Rickenbacker 4001 electric bass was produced with two pickups as a deluxe version of the original 4000 model with only one pickup. The model, designed by Roger Rossmeisl, was built in Zw. It was built in 1961 and 1981 until it was replaced by the successor model 4003.
The 4001 bass has a full-length neck with two truss rods, two different single-coil hi-gain pickups and, from 1971, two output jacks as standard.
A normal mono socket and a Rick-O-Sound stereo output with which you can split the signal to two different amplifiers.
This bass from 1978 is in very good condition for its age. It has minimal pressure marks/lacquer flaking on the headstock and slight traces of use/scratches, especially on the back.
The setup of the bass has been freshly adjusted by the luthier and the electrics work perfectly.
