A characterful short scale from the house of FenderThis Mustang Bass from 1971 has the typical vintage vibe of the early 70s, but has been tonally optimized in the direction of a Precision Bass.
Originally delivered in Lake Placid Blue, the finish was removed very early on and clear lacquer was applied. The result is a natural, slightly aged look with a lot of wood character.
Particularly interesting: At tis point the bass was converted to a Precision-style pickup with a new pickguard. The Gotoh pickup provides significantly more foundation and assertiveness than the original Mustang pickup. Ideal for players who want to combine shortscale comfort with classic Preci print.
The bass has been checked in our workshop and is technically in good condition.
