1977 Guild – D-55 – ID 5257

The D-55 was already the flagship of Guild in the 70s. Guild and was initially only available on custom order - and you can feel that with every chord.
Huge, open dreadnought sound, crystal-clear highs and a bass that fills the room.
This example is an absolute highlight: NOS condition, almost unplayed, first-hand - including original case, brochures and invoice.
A real piece of guitar history in great condition.
The binding shrinks at the neck, which is a normal ageing process for old Guilds. The clear lacquer breaks easily at this point without affecting the substance.
There is a small crack in the clear lacquer on the edge of the pickguard, just below the E-string. (only superficially)
