1979 Music Man – Stingray – Pre Ernie Ball – ID 5694

A real classic from the late 70s and early 80s.
This Music Man StingRay from 1979 (according to Potis from 04/79) comes from the coveted pre-earnie-ball era, when the instruments were still being developed under the direction of Leo Fender.
The active StingRay sound of that time is still legendary today: powerful, clearly defined and with enormous assertiveness in the band mix.
An honest vintage StingRay from the golden Music Man era.
The bass is original except for the pickguard and the nut. The frets and fingerboard look like new, the bass has definitely only been played sporadically.
The Pre-Ernie-Ball StingRays are among the vintage basses of the late Leo Fender era and have been in high demand for years.
