The RB630 is a solid electric bass from the Roadstar II Bass Series by Ibanez and was launched in 1984. It was in the range until 1987 and was manufactured in Japan.
This Precision style bass in black is in good condition, apart from a few small pressure marks and traces of use (especially on the back). The pickguard is not original and a rare DiMarzio prototype preamp with CR2032 battery was installed. The volume pot was also replaced by a push/pull pot for the active/passive circuit. The internet says about this preamp from 1984 (according to the circuit board):
"DiMarzio sent a few of these into the wild with gigging musicians in the 80s for trial & evaluation, but never brought them to market. A rare circuit indeed."
