Very rare and exceptionally charming small body steel string from the traditional Japanese manufacturer K. Yairi.
Built in 1997, this FK-J1 convinces with a remarkably direct response and a surprisingly full sound for its compact design.
The solid spruce top provides clarity and dynamics, while the back and sides - also solid - give the instrument depth and character.
The exact type of wood is not clearly documented.
Typical for Yairiexcellent workmanship, very good wood selection and an overall extremely balanced sound - ideal for fingerstyle and recording.

The guitar is in good condition with only a few signs of use. A small dent (approx. 4 mm) and a fine crack in the bridge, see photos, but does not affect the sound or playability. A passive piezo pickup is installed and works perfectly.
Rarely found model with an independent character and high quality workmanship.
