The Norlin era Gibson SG Special was almost identical to the SG Standard of the time.
Instead of the usual humbuckers for the standard models, the Specials were equipped with mini-humbuckers, which Gibson received with the takeover of Epiphone.
The dot inlays of the early models were soon replaced by block inlays.
This early 1972 SG Special is in good condition, the original frets are a bit flat but still play well.
There are some signs of use such as pressure marks and scratches, which are inevitable on an instrument that has been played for over 50 years.
The volume pot for the neck PU has been replaced, the original one is included.
The belt pins are not original and there is a hole in the upper horn for an additional belt pin.
