An original Marshall 1960A from 1973 is one of the most sought-after guitar cabinets ever, especially if it’s still equipped with the rare Celestion G12M “Greyback” T1511 55 Hz speakers. The 55-Hz version delivers the coveted deep, woody bass, warm mids, and pleasant highs familiar from countless rock productions of the early '70s.
This cabinet is equipped with four original Celestion G12M 25-watt T1511 speakers. The data codes 3x LF and 1x MF confirm that it was manufactured in 1973. Over the course of its more than 50-year history, a number of practical modifications have been made: The checkerboard wiring was replaced, the internal wiring was updated, two additional holes were drilled in the rear panel for optional speaker terminals (currently non-functional), and one speaker was recoiled. Some corner protectors have been replaced, and one of the four rollers is black instead of gold.
A vintage Marshall cabinet with plenty of character.
