1978 Gibson – Custom L-5S – one-piece top – ID 5481

Gibson introduced the L5S in 1972 as a smaller and thinner solidbody version of the popular L5 Semiacoustic guitar. The L5S has the same elaborate binding on the body and neck, decorated with block fingerboard inlays made of abalone and the elegant flower pot inlay in the headstock.

This guitar comes from the first owner, who took very good care of it. The condition is almost as good as new, the gold hardware is not tarnished and the frets are in top condition.

The top and back of this guitar are probably unique because they are made of one-piece, beautifully flamed maple.
