1963 Guild – S 200 – Thunderbird – ID 3761

Very rare, extravagant guitar. It was only built from around 1963 to 1968.
The S-200 has been available again as a reissue model since 2016.
Muddy Waters was probably the most prominent player of Guild's ThunderBird model.
Photos and videos from the 1960s often show him with this eye-catching guitar.

It can be played in a wonderfully relaxed manner and also sounds official.
The various switching options of the
HB1 humbucker
make them very flexible.

The S-200 has been refinished, one pickup has been repaired, the tremolo lever is missing and the bell is not original.
