1966 Fender – Stratocaster – Candy Apple Red – ID 4685

This Fender Stratocaster in Candy Apple Red is not only in great condition for its age. The paintwork naturally has a few small pressure marks and signs of ageing, but no major flaking. The red on the armrest has faded and you can see the silver background. On the back of the neck, the matte varnish, which has been matted over the years, ensures a pleasant playing feel. The original Grey Bottom pickups (all with the same date code) sound great (the neck pickup was rewound at Eyb-Guitars ).
A 5-way switch has been fitted, the original 3-way switch is supplied.
The screw and possibly also the strap pin at the end of the body are not original.
The case is not original, but a relatively recent Fender Tweed Case (one buckle is unfortunately broken off).
The frets are still original, but already quite worn down.
