1971 Fender – Stratocaster – 4 Bolt Neck – ID 4469

Fantastic, super light 4-Bolt Strat from Fender with beautifully grained alder body.
The 4-bolt Strats with a large headstock were built from 1968 to the end of 1971.
From 1972 onwards, there was a change to the 3-point neck mount to save money.
From this point on, Fender's quality became increasingly poor and the weight of the guitars noticeably higher.

This Strat is in great condition for its age, the red color in the sunburst finish has not yet faded. There are some slight signs of wear and minor dings and dongs.

The volume poti and the tone cap were changed.
The switch tip is not original.
The frets were replaced by our luthier in September 2023 and are still as good as new.
Two axles of the tuning machines have been replaced (with round heads).
The neck pickup is a Greybottom with flat pole pieces (as they were used between 1975-1979)
