1997 Fender – Stratocaster 1960 Relic Cunetto/Cruz – ID 4701

Cunetto Relic Strat with subsequent Heavy Relic Job.
In concrete terms, this means that Vince Cunetto's Relic was later reworked.
Vince Cunetto, who now has his own brand, Vinetto Guitars was one of the first to forge guitars.
Commissioned by Fender, he built two guitars in 1995, which were exhibited at Namm in LA.
Completely unexpectedly, 400 Relic orders were received spontaneously and Cunetto was commissioned to build them.
Between 1995 and 1998 he produced a total of around 1000 Relics for Fender, after which the Fender Custom Shop took over the "aging".
The Cunettos are all in collectors' hands and prices are rising steeply.
The neck was designed by the master builder John Cruz and bears his stamp.
The fingerboard is made of rosewood (slabboard) and Fender CS Black Bobbins (staggered AlNiCo) are used as pickups.
