The Gibson Chet Atkins CEC was designed for players who want the tone and feel of a classic concert guitar but don't want to deal with feedback on stage. The concept was so successful that these models still have a loyal following today.
The CEC version ("Classical Electric Conventional") is designed specifically for classical guitarists and fingerstyle players. With its traditional nut width of 51 mm and flat fingerboard, it feels much more like a concert guitar than many modern nylon-string crossover models.
