2019 Captain Amp – M18RP – ID 4305

The power amp produces 18 or 20 watts from two EL84 power tubes, depending on the Hi/StBy/Lo switch.
A GZ81 is used as the rectifier tube.
The output transformer is from Mercury Magnetics, the power transformer we have specially made.
The amplifier is built in all-tube technology and has no semiconductors in the signal path.
Channel switching and all other switching functions are performed with high-quality relays and not with optocouplers.
The output transformer provides two output impedances (8 and 16 ohms), which can be switched by a switch on the rear panel.

Channel 1: pure 18 watt sound with Tone and Volume (like the original)
Channel2: JTM sound with (ample) gain, treble, middle, bass and volume (PPIMV).
Hi/StBy/Lo Switch
HI: Silicon Rectifier and high voltage for punchy rock sound
Lo: Tube Rectifier and low voltage for creamy blues sound

Reverb for both channels (switchable via footswitch)
FX Loop adjustable and switchable
Captain Power Soak (switchable by foot switch)
For the full rock board at room volume. This makes the M18RP suitable as a bedroom amp.
And in live mode you have two volume levels available via footswitch (solo boost)
