Some guitars are more special than others, even if they belong to a world-famous guitarist and guitar collector like Joe Bonamassa. In 1996, he bought a red 1962 Gibson ES-335 and played it on his first solo album called A New Day Yesterday. Unfortunately, he sold the guitar in 2001 to finance his move from New York to LA. As the 20th anniversary of his first album approached, a strange coincidence and an unexpected phone call led Joe and his old red ES-335, which accompanied his first solo steps and made his life on the West Coast possible, to reunite. Joe was happy with his old guitar and promised never to give it up again in his life. The Epiphone Joe Bonamassa 1962 ES-335 is a tribute to a legendary guitarist and one of his beloved instruments. It features a one-piece mahogany neck with Indian Laurel fingerboard and comfortable Rounded C profile, Gibson BurstBucker™ 2 and 3 pickups wired with CTS® pots and Mallory™ capacitors, a Switchcraft™ pickup selector switch and output jack, and a Maestro™ Vibrola™. A custom hard case with Epiphone and Joe Bonamassa motifs and a certificate of authenticity are also included.
