2011 3 Monkeys – Grease Monkey GM II Head & 2×12 Cab – ID 6173

Der Boutique Amp Hersteller 3 Monkeys baut mittlerweile keine Verstärker mehr, sondern fertigt nur noch Solderless Cables.
Ins Leben gerufen wurde die Firma 2008 von Greg Howard (u.a. Guitar Tech für Green Day, Aerosmith, Jimmy Page und the Black Crowes), Ossie Ahsen (Custom Amp Builder u.a. für Aerosmith und the Goo Goo Dolls) und Brad Whitford (Rhythmus Gitarrist von Aerosmith).
Die Verstärker wurden von Hand in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA gefertigt.

Dieses Halfstack ist in sehr gutem Zustand, das Topteil hat in unserer Verstärkerwerkstatt eine Inspektion erhalten. Die vertikale 2x12" Lautsprecherbox in Trapezform (breit oben, schmal unten) hat leichte Gebrauchsspuren.

The new GREASE MONKEY II is the same as the original GM, but now includes a MASTER volume.
The GM II is an unbridled four EL84 amp with a distinct British voice featuring a switchable HI/LO INPUT GAIN and a MASTER volume control.
The low end of the pre amp is regulated by the SHAPE control giving three choices: 1-Bright, 2-Regular, and 3-Meaty. The CUT attenuates the high end and is bypassed when turned fully counter-clockwise. The BASS controls the overall low end, while the TREBLE knob acts on the overall high end. The VOLUME manages the loudness of the pre-amp and there is zero negative feedback making the GREASE MONKEY II incredibly harmonically complex.
