1965 Fender Bassman Blackface from the estate of Mats Björklund
We are delighted to be able to offer this very special Blackface Bassman.
The amplifier comes from the estate of Mats Björklundwho lived in Munich for decades and worked as a studio musician and composer for national and international artists (Donna Summer). In the 1970s, Björklund worked closely with the Giorgio Moroder production team at Munich's Musicland Studios together.
The amp was part of his studio setup for decades and can be heard on countless recordings.
This 1965 model (hand-wired) was made in Sweden for the European market (220 volts) and has recently been technically revised.
The amp has been fitted with new TAD 6L6 power tubes and a professional cap job, making it ideally prepared for reliable use.
The early Blackface Bassman amps are among the most important American tube amps of the 1960s and are still appreciated today for their warm, open and incredibly dynamic basic sound.
