Almost three decades after Nashville superstar Chet Atkins released his Country Gentleman by Gretsch he came up with some design changes for his guitar model Gibson with some design changes for his guitar model.
Gibson brought the zw. 1987 and 2000 model Gibson Chet Atkins Country Gentleman with a thinner body (thinline), center block, wider spaced pickups (for fingerstyle playing), long arm Bigsby and conveniently placed master volume control.

This guitar comes from the first owner and still has the original frets in very good condition.
The top has some cracks in the varnish and the body has some slight traces of use, but no damage.
The original pickguard has crumbled (no longer present) and has attacked the gold plating of the pickup caps and the bigsby during the outgassing process. We were able to remove most of the verdigris.
