1974 Fender – Stratocaster – Lightweight Player Strat – ID 2820
Strats from this period with a weight of 3170 grams are rare,
even guitars with selected woods from the custom store very rarely reach this weight.
The neck is exceptionally beautiful flamed, the body shows great crackles.
What makes the guitar a player?
Of course, first of all, the very pleasant weight.
But what stands out are the 4 small holes on the headstock, here was probably once a string lock attached, which actually makes sense only in conjunction with a tremolo.
Either the neck was temporarily mounted on a Floyd Rose tremolo Strat, for example, or it comes from another guitar. It’s hard to investigate after so long.
