The rare Custom CE 22 Swamp Ash Special comes with three pickups, a swamp ash body and a bolt-on neck - so it almost became a Strat.
This 1997 model comes with a beautifully flamed maple fingerboard for added clarity and attack.
The McCarty pickups deliver warm, vintage-oriented humbucker sounds and can be split via push/pull on the volume pot - creating a remarkably versatile sound palette from powerful rock to bell-like single-coil sounds. The wraparound bridge also ensures very direct sound transmission.
