1965 Jazzmaster, 3-Tone Sunburst with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and original Grey-Bottom pickups.
Over the course of its history, the instrument was modified for a 12-string conversion; the additional soundholes on the headstock were closed off and covered with rosewood veneer. The brass saddle modification is also part of this modification. The headstock was previously modified for a 12-string guitar and then resealed and veneered; the original neckplate is missing and has been replaced with an engraved one. Some screws, buttons, and switch tips are not original. Blacklight shows minor touch-ups and overspray.
Visually and historically, it's not a pristine museum piece—but it is an interesting vintage Jazzmaster with a well-documented history and a few unusual details.
