2019 Captain – E-Type FiftyFour Blackguard – Heavy Relic – ID 6242

This Tele from our in-house workshop was built as a special edition for the Guitar Summit 2019 trade show. It’s our take on a ’54 Blackguard Tele in blond with plenty of signs of aging. The body is made of MJT Swamp Ash with a tasteful and realistic “Heavy Relic” finish, and the neck is one-piece flamed maple with a very substantial profile that still feels great. To ensure everything comes through clearly sonically, it’s equipped with Barfuss Captain Custom T-Type Tricolor pickups.

The frets have very slight notches, but you don't notice them when playing.
