2002 Gibson – Les Paul Limited Edition – ID 5997

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Gibson Les Paul, a very special limited edition was released in 2002. Musik Jellinghaus in Dortmund originally commissioned Gibson to produce an exclusive series in Vintage Lemon Burst. Only 50 hand-selected instruments were planned, each featuring an AAA-grade maple top, a certificate, and a special "Limited Edition" truss rod cover. However, Gibson decided to expand the series to a total of 200 instruments.
The guitar offered here is one of the additional 150 instruments that are technically identical to the Jellinghaus version. It features the same high-quality specifications, including '57 Classic pickups, an ABR-1 bridge, a '50s-style rounded neck, and an attractive AA flamed maple top in Vintage Lemon Burst. Only the certificate was reserved for the first 50 guitars.
This Les Paul is a first-hand guitar and is in good, well-maintained condition. A pickup was replaced with a hotter DiMarzio JHN58B humbucker.
There is a Red Hot Chili Peppers sticker on the original Gibson case.
