An exceptionally elegant 2010 Knaggs Chena T2 in “Indian Red”—definitely not an off-the-shelf guitar, either in appearance or sound.
Mahogany single-cut guitar with a beautifully figured Grade 2 maple top, gold hardware, and a dark rosewood fingerboard.
In terms of tone, the two David Allen WCH AlleyCats deliver a very convincing vintage PAF sound: warm, full-bodied, yet clear at the neck, and midrange-heavy, rich in harmonics, and with plenty of dynamic range at the bridge. Perfect for blues, jazz, and rock—and with plenty of gain, the Chena also works great.
The '59 neck profile, the 24.75-inch scale length, and the 43-mm nut width make for a very comfortable playing experience. Condition, including the frets, is very good; only minimal signs of wear.
