1981 Fender – Telecaster Deluxe Natural – ID 6211

These Fender Telecaster Deluxe with a '78 serial number (S8) features a beautifully aged ash body with a black pickguard. The two superb-sounding Seth Lover Wide Range humbuckers, featuring a Gibson Les Paul-style control layout, are incredibly versatile and suitable for almost any genre of music—whether it's blues, rock, reggae, funk, jazz, country, etc.—anything goes, anything is allowed.

Since it dates from the transitional period at the end of the CBS era (1978–1981; in some cases even 1983), it is not uncommon for the body and neck to be dated to 1978, while the electronics and potentiometers are, in some cases, have codes from the '70s and '80s. The final assembly sticker shows the date 02 13 81. None of this changes the fact that this is a genuine vintage Fender Tele Deluxe—admittedly a bit heavy, but with excellent tone. The tuners and tone pots have been replaced, but the originals are included. The paint has slight scuffs on the armrest and the bottom (some of which are from belt buckles). The frets are still in good condition and have only slight nicks, which you don't notice while playing.
