Additional information

Until 1957, all Les Paul Standard guitars were painted gold or, from 1955, black (Les Paul Custom).
The 1957 models already had the PAF humbuckers, before that there were only P-90 pickups.
This Custom Shop Goldtop is from the Darkback series and has been individually managed.
The top has fine hairline cracks and crackles, the neck has been sanded, which feels very good and no longer sticks.
The pots have been replaced by pots from Vintage Inspired Pickups.
The rest looks original.
