With the Gibson SG '61 Reissue 2016, Gibson USA presents an authentic reissue of the very first SG, which first went by the name of "Les Paul" model and became a legend of rock with its distinctive double-horned design. Here, of course, Gibson relies on the proven all-mahogany construction with glued neck, which supports a powerful and fast-responding sound. Extremely nimble handling is also created by the slim '60s slim taper neck profile, allowing fingers to fly unimpeded on the rosewood fingerboard.
