1969 Fender – Jazz Bass – ID 5866

Fender After CBS acquired the company, Fender redesigned the Jazz Bass—with its offset body—in the late 1960s, adding features such as binding, pearloid block inlays, and large lettering on the headstock.

This bass, with its 3-Tone Sunburst finish and tortoise shell pickguard, is in very good condition for its age—nearly 60 years—and has only a few minor dents, some of which... with areas that have been touched up or painted over. The pickups and potentiometers are original, but some of the screws (on the pickguard and the chrome covers) are not.
The neck nut at the end of the fretboard was professionally repaired. The fretboard was refretted, the binding was replaced, and the side dots and the original nut were retained.
