The Epiphone Wildkat is one of the classics of the Epiphone line-up. Built since the thirties, the instrument presents itself as an agile semi-hollow with an arched maple top and a mahogany body. Besides the body, two P-90R single coil pickups with traditional dogears are responsible for the sound and provide a clear and defined sound with sufficient trebles and a convincing representation of the high mids. The Wildkat’s maple neck is glued into the neck pocket in the familiar manner and features the SlimTaper “D” profile famous not only among Les Paul fans for nimble runs, while the neck offers enough mass for soulful bends.
