With the Gibson Historic Select 1954 Les Paul Pelham Blue, the Gibson Custom Shop presents an interpretation of the legendary '54 model that embodies the spirit of personalized vintage instruments like no other. Wrapped in a chic Pelham Blue and finished to "True Historic" specifications, the electric guitar has a light mahogany body with a maple top and a glued mahogany neck, whose strong "'58 True Historic" profile sits comfortably in the hand and skillfully supports the classic playing techniques of blues and rock. The use of the long neck tenon and glass-hard hide glues also supports a lively sound. Thanks to its unique pickup configuration, the Gibson Historic Select 1954 Les Paul is an all-rounder with a strong character for blues and rock. The mini-humbucker placed on the neck delivers a rich but transparent sound with a pronounced mid and treble spectrum, which also comes through excellently with juicy crunchy leads. At the bridge, on the other hand, the Gibson Custom P-90 single coil promises a mid-focused sound whose lively dynamics expressively bring out every playful nuance. Historically correct, a classic wraparound bridge and Kluson Deluxe Single Band/Single Ring tuners complete the Gibson Historic Select 1954 Les Paul Pelham Blue.
