The Blueshawk is a semi-hollow body electric guitar, the Gibson produced from 1996 to 2006. The body shape is similar to the Les Paul, has two F-holes and the strings are fed through the body via six (Fender-typical) individual riders, just like on a Telecaster.
The pickups almost look like P-90s but are called Blues-90. Similar to Jazzmaster PUs, the polepieces consist of (Alnico 5) magnets and are not adjustable in height. (On a P-90, the bar magnet is located under the height-adjustable pole pieces). There is a dummy coil in the base to reduce hum. For tonal variety, the electrics have been equipped with a Variotone rotary switch. This circuit can be activated via the push/pull potentiometer of the toner control.
The guitar has some slight signs of use, the frets are still good, the tuners and pot knobs are no longer original.
