The Vox AC30 is one of the most influential guitar amplifiers of the 1960s.
The Thirty Twin was manufactured only until 1966 and has one fewer preamp tube than the Top Boost. The advantage is that it works better with pedals connected upstream, but overall there's enough saturation to hit the sweet spot. The preamp uses vintage Brimar ECC83 tubes, which are primarily responsible for the great sound.
This 1966 model is equipped with the highly sought-after 2x12 Celestion Silver Bulldog speakers and has undergone a comprehensive technical inspection in our workshop. A capacitor replacement was performed, four new EL84 power tubes were installed, and the amplifier was properly serviced. The center carrying handle was replaced, and two previous drill holes in the rear panel and two in the faceplate were neatly filled in. The four rollers are not original.
A superb-sounding vintage AC30 for musicians and collectors that authentically reproduces the legendary Vox sound of the '60s.
