The classic Blackface models are still among the most important American vintage amps of all, and are still played live today thanks to their reliability and unmistakable sound. (e.g. Derek Trucks)
This classic 1967 model with GZ34 tube rectification and two 6L6 power tubes delivers exactly the coveted warm blackface Leo Fender tone: enormous dynamics, bell-like highs, tight basses and wonderful headroom.
The four JBL D110F speakers are particularly noteworthy. It is not clear whether the speakers have always lived in this amplifier. However, the speakers are labeled Fender and belong in a Super Reverb. These speakers make the amp much more stable in the bass, which is particularly noticeable with humbucker guitars.
The amp was originally a 110V US model and was professionally converted to 240 volts many years ago - including a new transformer. The front cover has been replaced, the footswitch is newer.
