1970 VOX - AC 30 - Silver Bulldogs - ID 2763

Very original and well preserved Top Boost from 1970.
The foot switch is new.
Completely checked out with a new quartet of EL84 power tubes and old Brimar ECC83 in the preamp.
A top boost circuit for the normal channel was retrofitted on the rear. An additional preamp tube was installed and two potentiometers for treble and bass.

The AC30s from the 60s and early 70s sound really creamy with lots of power amp saturation.

The AC30 was Rory Gallagher's "one and only". Amp, for his legendary sound it needed only the AC30 and a Treble Booster.
Brian May then copied this setup in the 70s, and the rest is history.
