This Gretsch 6132 Corvette is a great player instrument that has nothing to hide from any SG. Himself Rory Gallagher appreciated one. Gretsch launched this short-lived model to compete with Fender and Gibson solidbody electric guitars such as the Tele and Junior. They were available with one or two pickups and a Bigsby-like vibrato.
The body incl. glued-in neck (with the rare 2+4 headstock) dates from 1964 according to the serial number. The red has now completely faded.
Hardware and pickups have been completely replaced incl. small extension of the pickup groove for the humbuckers. The pickguard incl. The shape of the knobs is not original and was modeled after the shape for single pickup models.
