In the early 80s, this model marked the start of the first ever official Fender Vintage Reissues - and it is precisely these early examples that enjoy an excellent reputation among collectors and players today.
The combination of Swamp Ash Body, Butterscotch Blonde Finish and Maple Neck delivers exactly the classic Blackguard Tele tone: dry, very resonant, wiry and incredibly direct.
The honest history of this guitar is particularly beautiful - it is first-hand and comes with original documents and original tweed case.
The neck pickup was designed by David Barfuss and continues to provide an authentic vintage Tele sound with lots of transparency and dynamics.
