This Tommy's Special SG comes directly from the personal estate of Carl Verheyen, one of the most versatile guitarists of our time - known as a member of

Supertramp

and sought-after L.A. studio musician who has worked with artists such as John Fogerty, The Bee Gees, Cher and many more.

As part of his European tour 2025, Carl visited us in the Captain Guitar Lounge - and we now have the great honor of selling this extraordinary SG on his behalf.

Carl tells us:

"For my 2014 CVB tour with bassist Stuart Hamm and John Mader on drums, Tommy built me another beautiful Strat-style guitar - and a wonderful copy of my 1966 Gibson SG, so I could leave my vintage instruments at home. He had put countless hours into building these guitars, as he had of course built them entirely by hand."

The guitar is perfectly balanced, light, resonant and covers a wide sound spectrum from rock to funk to fusion with its humbuckers.
