Azhar bought it as a backup for his old 1964 Strat. On par sonically, but more comfortable to play thanks to modern specs.
The Sonic Blue finish, the roasted maple neck, and the ML Standard pickups come together to create a combination that impresses both visually and sonically.
The Suhr ML Standard are by Mike Landau Designed single coils. They offer the authentic vintage tone of the early 60s, but sound stronger and more punchy in the midrange, as well as slightly hotter for more sustain, to meet modern demands. Middle position: Reverse Wound/Reverse Polarity (RW/RP) is used for hum suppression in the intermediate positions.
