This Telecaster tells its story quite openly. It was played with, cared for, and repeatedly adapted to meet the needs of its owners. If you're looking for a completely original collector's guitar, you won't find it here. On the other hand, anyone looking for a genuine 1953 Blackguard with impressive build quality, outstanding playability, and the unmistakable sound of the early Fender years will find an instrument that’s rarely seen these days. Vintage charm, authentic patina, and a sound that continues to define the legend of the early Telecasters to this day.
A genuine Blackguard Telecaster from the early 1950s is one of the most important guitars in the history of the electric guitar. This 1953 model has undergone extensive modifications over the years, but still retains numerous original components. The original body, original Bakelite pickguard, original bridge, and—most likely—the original bridge pickup form the heart of this extraordinary vintage Tele. It's not a "safe queen," but an authentic vintage guitar for players—one with character, history, and a first-class sound.
